The following four books are about the history of
coastal navigation and the maritime environment along the St. Lawrence River in
Charlevoix County, Québec.The books are the result of a social
documentary project carried out in the 1970s that culminated in 1978 when the
last boats were sold and left for southern waters. They include photographs
from institutional archives and from family ablums, that record the building of
boats and navigation.
